bgu team with commitment!
In 2024, numerous employees and friends of the company once again took part in the CITY CYCLING competition. After over 30 participants in 2023, there were 27 hard-working cyclists in 2024. In addition to having fun cycling, the main aim of the CITY CYCLING competition is to encourage as many people as possible to switch to bicycles in their everyday lives and thus make a contribution to climate protection.
Team bgu took part for the fourth time in 2024 and covered a greater distance this year with 6360 km despite slightly fewer participants. As there were more committed teams at the start in the municipality of Bretzfeld in 2024, we fell back to 3rd place in the municipal ranking despite a higher mileage. The winning team cycled over 12,000 km this year, and last year’s first-placed team also increased its distance from around 7,200 km to over 8,100 km. Congratulations to the better-placed teams and many thanks to all the cyclists who rode for Team bgu.
And for many of our participants, we don’t just cycle when city cycling is on the agenda, we also cycle to work very frequently, which can be seen every day from the well-stocked bike shelter and the free car parking spaces.
