150 years of service and retirement
At the end of the financial year, the traditional works meeting took place again in mid-December. Managing Director Claus Steinbrenner welcomed the numerous employees who attended in the electrical workshop.
He reported on the past financial year and was pleased with the successful conclusion of the year. Despite the difficult environment with the after-effects of the coronavirus measures and the challenges posed by the war in Ukraine, bgu was able to achieve sales in 2023 at a comparable level to 2022. Managing Director Steinbrenner was also confident that bgu will continue to develop positively in 2023. Bgu still has a good order backlog of several months and further incoming orders are expected for the new year.
A highlight of every works meeting are the awards presented to employees celebrating anniversaries. In 2023, Claus Steinbrenner was once again able to congratulate 6 employees with a total of 150 years of service and thanked them with a small gift and presented them with certificates of honor from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Chamber of Crafts in addition to the bgu certificate. Many years of service is one of the success factors for operating successfully on the market.
Retirees are also bid farewell at the works meeting. While several employees retired in 2022 last year, in 2023 it was only one employee from Assembly who retired after 15 years with the company. Claus Steinbrenner thanked him for his reliable work, wished him all the best for the remaining years of his life and invited him to take part in future company events.
