On September 9 and 10, 2025, the Central State Association Conference took place in the Giessen exhibition halls. Together with the BWK (Association of Engineers for Water Management, Waste Management and Cultural Engineering), the DWA regional association offered a varied program under the guiding theme “Future (waste) water – focus on innovation and young talent”.
The event combined specialist presentations from practice and research, insights into current developments in (waste)water management and a broad-based trade exhibition. Discussions included the new EU Municipal Wastewater Directive, the topics of energy and law and the importance of volunteering and social media for the industry.
Our sales colleague represented bgu-Umweltschutzanlagen at the trade fair stand. In a pleasant atmosphere, he took the opportunity for many interesting discussions – including the application of DWA A102 and further possibilities for the separation of solids with the bgu lamella clarifier concept.
The regional association conference in Giessen proved to be a very successful conference with valuable impulses and numerous opportunities for professional exchange. We would like to thank the organizers for a successful event and are already looking forward to the next Central Regional Association Conference.
